Info From Don Hanson:
“The steel we use in these is old circular sawmill blades. It specs out at a higher carbon content than the newer saw steel. .80-.85 carbon & 1.5-2% nickel.
After cutting and profiling, the blades are thermal cycled for very fine grain and heat treated to 61 RC hardness.
Edges are ground to a near zero, very thin! Hand rubbed & etched finish.
Oldass micarta for scales with brass pins.
Larger one has a thong hole tube, smaller on does not.”
